McTeach Is Moving!

After having my first blog on Blogger for almost two years, I have decided to move it over to Edublogs. One of the main reasons for this switch is I wanted my “professional” blog to look just that…professional. It’s really a personal preference on my part, but I feel like Edublogs has a more professional look and feel to it. Plus, you just can’t go wrong with Sue Waters on your side! :)

A feature that I felt was missing from Blogger is the ability to add pages to a blog. I would like to have additional pages on my blog so that I’ll be able to share with everyone in my Personal Learning Network (PLN) all the wonderful resources I find while I travel the world of web 2.0. I’ll be adding pages in the weeks ahead as I can squeeze in time to play…I mean “work”…on my blog.

If you’ve been a loyal follower of Notes From McTeach on Blogger, I hope you’ll follow me over to Edublogs. To make the transition easier for you, here is the RSS feed for the new site:

Thanks for the nice comments and welcome to Edublogs. I'm not sure if you are aware but you can import your post from this blog into Edublogs.

Would you like me to explain how to do this?

Hi Sue!

Actually, this post is already over at Edublogs also. But I would love to know how to import posts into Edublogs!

Thanks!!

Yes, I had already seen that but noticed that you hadn't exported the rest.

Inside blogger go to Settings > Export Blog. That should download an export file onto your computer.

Then inside Edublogs go to Tools > Import and follow the link for blogger. That should import all posts and comments.

Let me know if you need my help.

Thanks again, Sue!! I'll try this as soon as I finish up my progress reports...and lesson plans...and laundry.

I thought Sundays were supposed to be relaxing!
